Facial Cupping

Facial Cupping

Facial cupping is an extremely relaxing treatment that feels rather luxurious, yet can be very effective in helping to relieve sinus pressure and other inflammatory issues, as well as reducing headaches and pain associated with TMJ.

Facial cupping is also considered a natural alternative to Botox treatments or cosmetic surgery.

All forms of cupping create negative pressure, pull fluids and improves blood circulation and lymph drainage. The ultra gentle suction involved with facial cupping specifically aims to reduce fine lines and inflammation, whether from seasonal allergies, temporary stress, or more chronic conditions.

Facial cupping is an extremely relaxing and pampering treatment, and tends to leaves the face looking younger, more radiant, and rejuvenated.

Although rather new to the United States, facial cupping has been used for centuries throughout Asia, Europe, and Russia. It is safe, noninvasive, and does not leave marks on the face. Results are often seen immediately. Face cupping is a perfect treatment for that special occasion. For long lasting results, additional treatments are recommended.

How Does Facial Cupping Work?

Hand blown and delicate glass suction tubes especially designed to conform to the face rhythmically and very gently pull fluids and performs micro movement to the small, but often overworked muscles below the skin. The suction created stimulates skin circulation, removes stagnant lymph, lifts, tones, and plumps sagging skin and deeper tissues. Extremely subtle facial cupping relaxes tight muscles, softens expression lines and wrinkles, and removes puffiness around eyes and face. This process ushers nutrient-riched blood and fluids into skin cells to improve the healthy production of elastin and collagen, preserve skin integrity, and enhance a youthful, radiant appearance.

Benefits of Facial Cupping:

  • Improves blood circulation
  • Drains stagnant fluid and reduces inflammation
  • Lifts sagging facial muscles (cheeks, jowl)
  • Relaxes tension in facial muscles
  • Plumps wrinkles and facial lines
  • Evens complexion and coloring
  • Increases production of healthy collagen and elastin
  • Reduces headaches and migraines
  • Relieves sinus congestion
  • Relaxes symptoms of TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint dysfunction)
  • Helps regulate oil production

It is recommended to do a series of 6 to12 weekly sessions for best results. Facial cupping is great to do before a special event or photo shoot . It offers a lifted, sculpted look to the face. This is a very gentle form of negative pressure massage that can also be combined with many other treatments or a stand alone treatment of about 30 minutes.

*Please note: This treatment should not be performed when taking “blood thinners”.

“Julie is easily the best, most thorough massage therapist I’ve ever worked with. I had seen her previously for a massage focused on relaxation and sports recovery, which was fantastic. I am currently dealing with the lingering effects of a car accident, and Julie’s extensive knowledge and intentionality in helping heal my body has been incredible. She is kind, thoughtful, and very effective. I’m so thankful she is local to Central Oregon, as her business is officially my go-to spot! I HIGHLY recommend booking with her.”

Slow down. Relax. Take time to invest in yourself; there’s only one YOU!
